Summary About the Position: This position is with Quality Services Division and located at Tripler Army Medical Center campus, which is on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. Oahu is the third largest island in the Hawaiian chain.. The island is very geographically diverse with mountains, rainforests, volcanic craters, tropics, beaches and much more. Responsibilities Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of the hospital's credentialing and privileging program for all physician and non physician Health Care Provider's (HCP). Maintain a Practitioner's Credentials File (PCF) for appropriate individuals entering Department of the Army, Civil Service, and contract employment. Prepare provider profiles and enters required information concerning education, training, licensure, performance, and other pertinent required data into the hospitals Centralized Credentialing. Prepare various reports on licensure status. Perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of the hospital's credentialing. Specialized Experience for GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining credential files for physician and nonphysician Health Care Providers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Health Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
