*Position Overview*
The Below the Wing Instructor reports to the Senior Manager, Airport Customer Service & Cargo Instructional Delivery and is responsible for the development of below-the-wing training and development strategy and for the implementation and improvement in all areas related to below-the-wing operations at Hawaiian Airlines.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Serve as classroom, simulator, and/or field trainer/instructor to provide initial qualification, refresher, recurrent and on-going skills training as it pertains to all aspects of the below-wing operation.
* Develop courseware, including, but not limited to, lesson plans, delivery materials, student publications, exams, answer keys, and OJT checklists, when applicable.
* Responsible for ensuring training is conducted accurately while abiding by all regulatory, company, and interdepartmental policies and procedures.
* Conduct training and job task analysis to aid in the evaluation of training methods and recommend and/or execute changes and improvements to ensure the most effective and efficient training is delivered.
* Provide technical and operational expertise for training device hardware and software, to include development, testing, and utilization.
* Partner closely with Subject Matter Experts and departments responsible for authoring policies and procedures to develop and maintain accurate training curricula.
* Participate in the maintenance of accurate training records in accordance with regulatory requirements and Hawaiian Airlines policies and procedures.

Requirements
*Minimum Requirements*
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* 2 or more years of airline experience, specific to below-wing (Ramp, Line Service, and/or Cabin)
* Able to analyze the needs of the workplace, associates, work settings, and work processes and to design training solutions, which result in improved performance
* Able to work in an office/and/operational line environment while maintaining professionalism and corporate standards.
* Able to assimilate large amounts of information quickly, to include organizing and prioritizing, as needed.
* Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
* Must be able to travel, as required.
* Must have ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays, as needed
* Highly detailed and efficient with a strong sense of client service orientation.
* Focused and collaborative team player.
* Able to self-manage with utmost integrity and discipline.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s Degree
* 5 years experience in airline operations
* Experienced in training/education, curriculum design principles and practices, preferred
