Job purpose
The Manufacturing Utility Worker is very important in assisting our company with proper sanitation, record keeping and Pest control monitoring.
Duties and responsibilities
The Maintenance Utility maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse, restrooms, offices, ensures rubbish is dumped, and also assists with Nut samples gathered from tanks and other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Pulls daily tank samples for QA Daily Pest traps monitoring. Remove pests, log counts/location, reset traps. Clean and sanitize all employee warehouse and office restrooms. Stock all office and warehouse restroom with ample supplies daily. Daily cleaning of employee lunch room. Weekly cleaning of offices, floor, walls, vents, windows, blinds. Stocking all hand wash stations with paper towels and hand soap, sanitizer.Qualifications
Positive attitude, at least one year cleaning experience in Hotel, restaurant, manufacturing, or Commercial setting.
Experience with cleaning chemicals and techniques helpful
Experience with fork lift. (Training and certification will be provided)
Knowledge of cleaning tools, vacuum, wet vacuum, power buffer helpful.
Working conditions
You will be working in air-conditioned offices, and also working outside (dumping rubbish into Container) you will work in our Warehouse which is hot in the afternoon. (not air conditioned)
Your job will also take you into the Factory and Cannery where proper protective equipment is required. (Hair net, ear protection, gloves, etc. ) The job is mostly Monday through Friday; however there may be times that we run the factory on weekends or evenings and we may need the services of the Utility Worker.
Physical requirements
The job can be physically demanding. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Repetitive tasks must be able to climb up tanks to gather samples, able to handle pest control monitoring and disposing of dead and not quite dead vermin. Dumping rubbish, Using cleaning chemicals.
