Our work depends on a User Interface (UI) Developer joining our team to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) activities.

+ Writing standards-compliant, reusable, testable, and efficient front-end code for websites, web applications, and mobile solutions in a DevSecOps environment
+ Designing and implementing low-latency, high-availability, and high-performance applications that adhere to security, data protection, and Section 508 requirements
+ Collaborating with members of the Agile team to ensure that the front-end code can be effectively integrated with the technical solution in a continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) environment
+ Incorporating Human Centered Design (HCD) data and tools into code development
+ Troubleshooting and debugging UI related issues
+ Your success will be measured through usable interfaces that have been developed to provide representation of the full functionality and user workflows for minimum viable product
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business, or other related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience.
+ Experience with UI design and development of automated infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts to build Section 508 compliant themes, skins, and profiles from mock-ups for responsive design of dynamic, database driven web sites and content management systems using Angular 8+, Bootstrap, SpringBoot, as well as HTML5, CSS3, XSL, LESS, SASS and Sprite imaging
+ Experience integrating microservices into large applications, including design, development, and testing through integration
+ Experience with Web application modules and technologies such as Java, J2EE, JSP
+ Experience with distributed version control systems such as GitHub and Jenkins
+ Experience troubleshooting and debugging UI related issues
+ Experience with Agile methodologies, DevSecOps/DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
+ Understanding of HCD techniques and best practices
+ Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Health Care Industry and/or CMS experience
+ Active SAFe DevOps Practitioner or other SAFe certification(s)
+ AWS certification
+ Experience using JIRA and Confluence
+ Enterprise Portal and/or Enterprise IDM experience
+ Experience with build/ software configuration management (SCM) tools, such as Maven and Nexus
+ Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences
