TSS Systems Engineer Senior - General Dynamics Information Technology (Hawaii)

GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is looking for a passionate, skilled and driven Systems Engineer Sr to help our Technology Shared Services (TSS) Applications team with building solutions and driving value to our customers. Our ideal candidate will have experience with writing PowerPacks, maintaining performance and event monitoring solutions, and a good understanding of software development best practices. Additionally, they will be familiar with Agile methodology, ITSM integration, have a strong understanding of Linux and Python, and have a strong desire for designing/releasing quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
+ **Design, develop, and implement IT operations monitoring solutions with integration into other ITSM applications**
+ **Use Java, PHP, Python and/or COTS automation tools to ensure the integration and presentation of data through dashboards meet customer requirements**
+ **Document Linux appliance build and configuration processes**
+ **Author implementation and design documentation for multiple customers**
+ **Participate and share knowledge, work in the context of a geographically dispersed, collaborative, team-based environment**
+ **Implement and identify innovative tools, frameworks, automation, and utilities to increase value to customers while maintaining and improving existing solutions**
+ **Help establish a highly collaborative environment that values speed and quality**
+ **Perform feature development within sprints to support the high company standards**
+ **Actively participate in agile meetings with product and program management**
+ **Brief customers on phone or in person for project kickoffs, progress reviews, or closeouts**
+ **Travel to customer site, customer engagements, or GDIT office when required**
+ **Have a proactive attitude and a willingness to “go the extra mile” to get the job done**
Required Experience:
+ **Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience in lieu of degree**
+ **5+ years of experience in Information Technology**
+ **2+ years of experience supporting ScienceLogic**
+ **Strong organization and time management skills while working in a rapid solution deployment environment**
+ **Must be able to identify and learn new technologies quickly**
+ **Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills**
Desired Qualifications:
+ **Experience with migration to extended architecture**
+ **Experience with PowerFlow**
+ **Experience writing custom runbooks**
+ **Experience writing custom PowerPacks**
+ **Scrum/Agile experience, working with groups in 2/4 week sprints**
+ **ServiceNow skills preferred**
