We’re currently hiring for a Senior Communications Specialist - Outreach.
The Senior Communications Specialist - Outreach will support our Federal safety and anti-terrorism client. We help our clients communicate how their critical work is making our country stronger and safer and will support our project management team – both in development and execution of marketing and communications strategies as well as support various tasks (e.g., events, training, advertising, social media)
As a Senior Communications Specialist - Outreach, you will:
+ Support the Project Manager and management team
+ Provide strategic oversight to outreach components and lead outreach strategy as it relates to overall campaign objectives
+ Recommend innovative ideas; stay on top of outreach, media, and stakeholder trends and tactics
+ Oversee outreach efforts such as stakeholder engagement, events, and education
+ Have an understanding of earned media and paid media (e.g., out-of-home, digital advertising) strategy and execution
+ Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
+ Encourage and motivate junior team members
+ Assist with reporting as necessary
As a Senior Communications Specialist - Outreach, you will have:
+ Be able to work collaboratively and with a team
+ PR/marketing agency experience
+ 8 or more years relevant professional experience
+ Experience working on marketing/public relations campaigns with tangible results – specifically media and stakeholder/outreach experience
+ High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities with minimal oversight
+ Experience working comfortably in a demanding, fast-paced, and deadline-oriented environment
+ Strong relationship management and development skills for working with clients, subcontractors, and internal ICF staff
+ Energetic, self-starter, and resourceful problem-solver; can-do attitude and willingness to jump in where needed
+ Microsoft Office expertise and skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Job Location(s): This position can be remote but East Coast hours are mandatory. Preference will be given to D.C. area residents.
