Qualifications
Required Qualifications
+ 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.
+ 5-7 years experience with Ruby
+ Experience working in Agile and Kanban environments
+ Experience working within proper configuration management processes, utilizing source code control, and change management software, utilizing tools including Bitbucket, Git, and Bamboo
+ Demonstrated experience with Linux, Tomcat, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL,
+ Experience with configuration management and tools, including, Bitbucket, Git, Bamboo
+ Experience using JIRA for project and task management
+ Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
+ Great attention to detail and time-management skills
+ In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools
+ Knowledge of Cloud technologies including AWS, Microsoft Azure
Responsibilities
Peraton has an immediate opening for a **Senior Applications Developer** to primarily be responsible for the development, testing, and maintenance of an existing web application. The Developer will be required to provide support for the full software product development life cycle, including the development of technical documentation. This position is a 100% telework position. US Citizenship is required.
*Must have demonstrated experience with JRuby and Ruby On Rails*
In this role the Developer will be responsible for some of the following:
+ Provides expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems.
+ Uses expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software. May work in one or several areas, such as equipment or software design, engineering evaluation or test, configuration management procedures, statistical analysis and modeling.
+ Works with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives. Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
+ Plans and schedules new applications systems projects with user, systems software, and computer center operations personnel, including the identification of objectives, time frames, costs, and manpower requirements.
+ Performs tasks necessary to ensure the identification and documentation of hazards within software systems using various analysis tools and techniques.
+ Reviews and evaluates systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.
+ Confirms design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementation.
+ May perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers / analyst working on a specific project.

Colorado Salary Minimum: $93,745.60
Colorado Salary Maximum:$200,387.20
