Job Description
Kaua‘i Medical Clinic is the island’s largest multispecialty medical group. More than 90 physicians and midlevel providers offer primary and specialty care, including cardiology, gastroenterology, health management, neurology, OB-GYN, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics and urology. Its mission is to create a healthier Hawai‘i and is dedicated to providing the Kaua‘i community with accessible quality health care at clinic locations in ʻEleʻele, Kapaʻa, Kōloa and Līhuʻe. Kaua‘i Medical Clinic also offers an Urgent Care Clinic in Līhuʻe that is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Sunday.
At Kaua‘i Medical Clinic, the Urgent Access Clinic provides treatment of minor illnesses and injuries on a walk-in basis in a medical facility outside the hospital emergency room. The Urgent Access Clinic offers general medical care, occupational medicine, X-ray's, vaccines, school and sports physicals and limited on-site prescriptions. It is especially convenient when patients cannot wait for an appointment or their doctor is on vacation.
As the Medical Assistant, you will form part of the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff that provide the most caring, thorough health services to our patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities to clients of all ages. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

**Minimum Qualifications:** High school or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period. One (1) year back office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician’s office, or related experience.
