The Facility seeks a dedicated individual who will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the HPOWER energy-from-waste (EfW) facility during an assigned shift. The position supervises and coordinates activities of a crew to safely, proficiently, and profitably process municipal solid waste and refuse-derived fuel, while providing guidance and coaching for personal and career development. Essential duties include monitoring and ensuring efficient boiler, turbine, and steam plant operation in accordance with all safety, environmental and standard operating procedures.

Position Requirements

Qualified candidates must possess an A.S. Degree, or equivalent related technical training, and 5-7 years' hands-on experience in power or EfW plant operations. Basic computer, blueprint, P&ID, schematic specifications, and vendor reading experience are desired. Typically, requires 1-3 years supervisory experience in a similar plant environment. Must possess or be able to obtain ASME QRO certification within six months of employment. Physical demands of the position include the ability to climb ladders and structures, tolerate heights and varying temperatures, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate in close quarters and in confined spaces.

Strong leadership, oral/written communication, and problem solving skills, with previous experience coordinating activities and directing plant operations, are essential requirements for the position.
