Organon - Head of Compensation - International - Merck (Hawaii)
Job Description
Establish an international community of compensation practices, providing oversight and guidance to in-market HRBPs.
+ Participate in the design of our Company’s global salary structure, including the ongoing evolution, roll out and maintenance of the structure.
+ Provide consultative support to HR on how to apply the salary structure to the local markets.
+ Proactively monitor trends and regulatory developments in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry that impact the Company's broad-based compensation programs.
+ Partner with HR Technology and Comp operations to understand Workday capabilities to ensure future compensation program design can be implemented and maintained effectively.
+ Partner with Global Talent Acquisition to ensure recruiters have the necessary information and tools to independently review and extend offers to candidates.
+ Review and provide recommendations on global compensation program and policy changes, including terms & conditions, aligning with contemporary market practices.
+ Lead the development of educational materials, tools and necessary training modules to increase HRBPs and management understanding of existing Compensation programs and practices.
+ Create dynamic models to assess the potential impact of future design decisions.
+ Develop persuasive presentations to influence key stakeholders.
+ Support new hire offer development, competitive pay assessments and retention requests for bands 600 and above.
+ Monitor market data and practices to (a) support salary range development and maintenance (b) assess competitiveness of overall compensation opportunity including annual and long-term incentive program targets.
+ Develop global sales incentive guiding principles and consult with sales organization on sales incentive plan design and target setting.
+ Serve as a member of the Compensation Leadership Team and participate in various projects and initiatives as required to support success and completion of Compensation goals/deliverables.
Compensation Benchmarking and Competitive Analysis
+ Oversee the annual benchmarking process for all roles, including executives level roles.
+ Review and implement new and emerging compensation technology solutions to aid/automate annual benchmarking process, facilitate compensation modeling, and develop client ready compensation analysis and reports.
+ Support pay equity and FLSA analysis and actions as required for US roles.
+ Ensure compliance with any local regulatory practices in every country where we operate.
CoE Consultation
+ Actively engage with HR and business leaders to understand business strategy, organizational structures, priorities and challenges. Provide consultation to clients relative to compensation-related policies, programs, processes and issues, driving timely, thoughtful and prudent solutions.
+ Work collaboratively internally with HRBPs, Recruiting, Comp Operations, Compensation and internal clients as well as externally with consultants and vendors to effectively manage compensation projects and processes.
+ Oversee divisional compensation audits and compliance activities.
Education & Experience
+ Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience with broad-based and/or executive compensation programs, or related HR Operations and HRBP experience.
