Parking & Transportation Assistant (Security) - Queen's Health Systems (Hawaii)
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides assistance in the administration and maintenance of programs relating to parking and transportation for The Queen’s Medical Center (QMC), The Queen’s Development Corporation (QDC) and The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS).
• Inspects all QMC, QDC and QHS parking garages to insure cleanliness, safety and working operations conditions.
• Manages and processes the day-to-day parking and transportation transactions, is responsible for accurate data entry into the parking and transportation systems and databases.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, seeing, hearing, speaking, and reaching above or at shoulder level.
• Occasional: stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting, and carrying usual weight of 20 lbs. up to 30 lbs.
• Operates office equipment (i.e. computer, copier, fax machine, etc.).
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Exposed to both indoor and outdoor areas of the Medical Center and QHS entities.
• Occasional exposure to noise and/or vibrations during garage inspections.
• Occasional exposure to atmospheric weather conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license in accordance with Hawaii State law, rules, and regulations.
• Driver's abstract or evidence of good driving record.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Two (2) years of administrative office work experience.
• Experience to demonstrate:
o Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
o Knowledge and ability to operate a computer, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel).
