Content Strategy Lead - Kabbage - American Express (Hawaii)

Join the Kabbage team at American Express Kabbage, a leading FinTech innovator, was recently acquired by American Express. We’re looking for a seasoned content marketing manager to create and own content at Kabbage as we launch new products and deepen relationships with small business owners. You’ll develop Kabbage’s overall content strategy and help write/edit materials that support it. Work with our in-house creative team, partner resources, freelancers and our SEO team to deliver and optimize timely content to support email, sales, web and social channels to engage and drive conversion throughout the customer journey.

An ideal candidate is proven in orchestrating integrated and cross-channel content strategies in an intriguing and results-driven way. You’re obsessed with the finer details and data-driven decision making. You understand lead funnel management and how to best optimize across channels. You thrive when you can collaborate with others and inspire those around you. And you never settle for the status quo.
1. Have a brand publisher mindset: create the content our audience is looking for and then optimize the path from top to bottom of the funnel (buyer journey).
2. Determine messaging and content strategy across customer-facing marketing and advertising channels, including website, emails, digital ads and direct mail.
3. Write long- and short-form content across marketing and advertising channels.
4. Be an expert in our customer segments and personas and masterfully drive engagement across multiple products.
5. Develop and manage the editorial calendar and organization workflows.
6. Analyze campaign performance and use data insights to iterate, improve and maximize results.
7. Manage content agency relationships, including freelancers.
8. Work with internal and external SEO specialists and agencies to develop long-form content that supports SEO goals.
9. Partner with UX team to ensure consistency in language/messaging throughout our product experiences.
10. Channel management of digital content hubs. Understand the basic best practices of the main online channels, which content and approaches work on each and why.
11. Ensure consistency in voice, messaging and approach across all written materials.

Qualifications
+ 5-8 years experience writing long- and short-form content across marketing and advertising channels.
+ Experience creating campaigns for the web and growing a social audience.
+ An experienced writer, editor, and all-around storyteller who can blend creativity with precision.
+ Ability to analyze and present content performance.
+ Experience working with SEO agencies and/or teams to support SEO content creation.
+ Ability to proactively self-manage and stay organized across multiple simultaneous projects.
+ Excellent project management skills.
+ Proven leadership capability and effectiveness working collaboratively and cross-functionally.
+ Experience with Wordpress, Excel, and the top social channels.
