*Alarm Monitor - Linxx Global Solutions (Hawaii)
Linxx Global Solutions (Linxx) is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill Alarm Monitor positions. These positions are located at MCB Quantico. POSITIONS ARE CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD
Responsibilities
Provide monitoring and troubleshooting of all alarm and CCTV systems installed and annunciating at the Provost Marshal’s Office/Marine Corps Police Department (PMO/MCPD) or other designated facilities. This may be an armed, non-guard position. This includes:
+ Monitoring CCTV screens trained on sensitive areas/critical assets for a variety of security reasons, analyze images displayed of an authorized or unauthorized presence within the range of the CCTV camera while monitoring CCTV screens, immediately supply information to the proper agency concerning unauthorized activity/activation based on images displayed on CCTV and dispatch proper units to the scene.
+ Monitoring and/or operating electronic security systems involving numerous alarm panels/monitors, call-boxes, maintenance-related items, intrusion detection systems, video motion detection systems, and various security alarms, set and/or reset alarms activated to ensure the alarm was not a malfunction.
+ Instantaneously supplying information to the proper activity of the alarm activation and ensure dispatch of proper units to the location.
+ Ensuring all communication and alarm systems are in proper working order and when found defective, initiating immediate corrective action, ensuring that PMO/MCPD operations are not affected.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Ability to multi-task, pay close attention to detail, stay alert and focused, and coordinate and manage electronic security equipment.
+ Ability to use computer software applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-Point, databases and e-mail.
+ Possess the ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently.
+ Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Possess excellent organizational and file management skills and the ability to plan and execute administrative work with little or no supervision.
+ Possess excellent typing abilities and the skill to prepare documents accurately with minimal errors.
+ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and to maintain a calm and consistent demeanor at all times.
+ Ability to professionally interact with customers, colleagues and command members at all levels; and to foster positive business relationships.
+ Ability to learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation or through on-the-job training.
+ Ability to maintain sensitive files and documents and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
+ Ability to qualify and maintain annual proficiency with assigned weapon.
+ Capable of passing a criminal background investigation, psychological evaluation, and initial drug screen, and periodic follow-up testing.
+ Present a professional appearance.
Required Qualifications
+ U.S. citizen
+ Current SECRET clearance
+ Valid driver’s license
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Minimum one-year experience working in a security/police environment.
Preferred RequirementsCandidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
+ Previous successful completion of a government approved alarm monitor course
+ Prior experience in or supporting the USMC
