This position is located at the Medical Department Activity, Department of Surgery, Anesthesia Nursing Service, Fort Shafter, HI.

As a Nurse Anesthetist, you will:
+ Anesthetize patients for a broad range of surgery extending from the simplest to the most complex of surgical procedures (e.g. neonatal and pediatric surgery, general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, oral maxillofacial surgery, neurosurgery, etc.).
+ Evaluate patients physical and mental status with respect to anesthesia to evaluate patient's condition and desired anesthetic course of action.
+ Determine appropriate techniques, drugs, and equipment for use in the administration of anesthesia to all patients undergoing any and all forms of surgical and/or diagnostic procedures.
+ Administer anesthesia by inhalation, endotracheal intubation, intravenous, epidural and subarachnoid block, peripheral nerve block, intravenous block, transtracheal and superior laryngeal block, local infiltration, and topical application.
Requirements:
+ Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
+ Current, unrestricted RN license (any state).
+ Certified by the AANA.
+ ACLS/BLS Certified.
+ Minimum of one year working experience as a CRNA.
+ US Citizen.
