Aon Is Looking For An Account Manager

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Captives business group within Aon Risk Solutions in Honolulu, HI.

Your Impact As An Account Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist Account Executives (AE) and Senior Account Managers (SAM) in the day to day operations of each client.

* Ensure that financial statements submitted to AE or SAM for review on a quarterly or monthly basis include a completed financial statement checklist and workpaper support that was agreed upon by the account team.

* Ensure that financial statements are submitted to AE or SAM for review on a timely basis in order to allow the reviewer ample time to conduct a thorough review.

* Ensure that financial statements for the month or quarter do not repeat errors that were addressed and corrected in the previous reporting cycle.

* Ensure that the handling and recording of new transactions for the reporting month or quarter are addressed prior to the submission of the financial statements for review.

* Ensure that internal control procedures are applied and followed.

* Complete and update policies and procedures manuals for all clients and submit for review by the A.E.s/SAMs and Team Leaders.

* Prepare annual reports (and quarterly NAIC reports if applicable) and premium tax returns for review by A.E.s/SAMs including the preparation checklist. Reports should be submitted for review adequately in advance of filing deadlines to allow ample time for review and changes.

* Compile documents for independent audit; prepare responses to auditors PBC requests.

* Compile documents for regulatory examinations as much in advance as possible in order to allow time to address open items. The examination checklist should be completed and submitted to the AE/SAM.

* Work towards understanding each client s business plan.

* Exhibit knowledge of Hawaii captive statutes and regulations.

* Work with A.E.s and SAMs to ensure coordination of duties among account team.

* Prepare board meeting material in coordination with guidance from A.E. s and SAMs and participate in presentations whenever possible.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years accounting experience. Previous insurance industry experience a plus.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelors Degree
