Job Summary Hina Mauka seeks an Authorization and Review Specialist to ensure accuracy in client records and assist at Teen CARE sites as needed. Provides support to a clinical team in an adolescent outpatient substance abuse program (Teen CARE). Job Responsibilities Coordinates with substance abuse counselors to conduct initial and on-going authorizations. Completes benefit exceptions in collaboration with clinical team. Reviews electronic health record entries for accuracy and completeness. Conducts review of client charts. Works with clinical team to ensure accuracy and contract compliance. Travels to Teen CARE offices to review site requirements. Assists with client screening at Teen CARE sites as needed. Completes reports relating to clients, program performance, and contract standards.Job Requirements Must pass a background check and be able to work with children. Must be able to work with adolescents with substance abuse disorders. Must have a safe vehicle for transportation and travel purposes, submit driver's abstract, and have a valid driver's license to travel between sites. The position is based in Kaneohe, but requires travel to various locations in Oahu to provide administrative and some clinical support. Excellent computer skills Well organized and able to maintain accurate and concise records. Ability to work as a team member in office and clinical environments. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
