The Room Service Wait-Help plays an intricate part in achieving the overall level of service we pride ourselves on for our Malihini and Kamaaina visitors. A welcoming demeanor, attention to detail, and expeditious service is what's required for this position. Your daily tasks consist of welcoming the guest, actively listening and recording phone orders. You will also be required to place these orders through our point-of-sales system and ensure timely delivery. Responsible for collecting payment of products provided and accurately closing out the customers checks at the end of their in-room dining experience. Strives to maintain health code standards of food handling.
Requirements
The ideal person for this position will posses strong communication skills, a great overall positive attitude, the ability to interact effectively and courteously with guest, peers, and management staff. Previous experience as a Room Service Wait-Help. Knowledge of point-of-sale system.
The following skills and abilities are required:
+ Speak, read and write in the English language.
+ Available and willing to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
+ Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and engage in considerable physical activity on a consistent basis.
+ Ability to lift food and beverage trays on a continuous basis, weighing approximately twenty (20) pounds.
+ Knowledge of beer, wine and spirits. As well as how these beverage items compliment food items to increase your sales.
+ Able to multi-task; seating and greeting of guest as they arrive, placing and delivering of orders and at the same time being able to keep your assigned station clean and well stocked.
+ Neat and professional appearance, a genuine Spirit of ALOHA and the desire to serve.
+ TB Clearance required.
+ As a condition of employment you must be able to satisfy all pre-employment screenings such as criminal background checks.
