Project Scheduler - Planate Management Group LLC (Hawaii)

Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Scheduler is responsible for providing assistance and technical guidance to all engineers/architects exercising construction oversight and design management of Capital Improvements projects. Provide support during the design phase of projects to ensure an appropriate construction duration is established for major projects or initiatives.

The work of performance will be in Honolulu District (POH) and other Pacific Region locations such as Japan, Korea, Alaska, American Samoa, Guam, Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, Republic of Palau, Federated States of Micronesia, and Republic of the Marshall Islands in the Pacific Ocean Division (POD) area.

This position is contingent to the award of the contract. The contract duration will be (3) year base period with two (2) 1-year option periods.

Key responsibilities:

+ Develop and maintain a project schedule for all activities required to support the design-build project

+ Work with engineering and construction leads to identify all required project activities, develop sequencing of project activities including all dependency logic

+ Review subcontractor schedules and monthly schedule updates (utilizing Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software)

+ Develop project status and forecast reports based on actual progress and best information

+ Identify network analysis schedule changes, and report delay issues

+ Evaluate proposed logic changes, provide a comprehensive analysis

+ Provide report including the contractor’s conformance to plan as related to progress, sequencing, and manpower

+ Prepare and maintain a file on all historical schedule data/documents including memos of conversations with the contractor’s scheduler

+ Provide recommendations for potential schedule revisions as necessary to mitigate schedule delay

+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

+ Degree in Engineering Technology or Construction Management or any relevant field of study preferred

+ Advanced Primavera P6 skills required

+ Five years’ experience in engineering and construction scheduling, experience as a project scheduler

+ Experience developing, sequencing and maintaining construction schedules

+ Experience in vertical construction and construction of Government buildings

+ Ability to identify potential conflicts and constraints to the construction project and provide recommendations to mitigate potential delays

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, including Excel

+ Strong English writing and spoken communications skills

+ Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
