Senior Specialist, Product Data Management Process Steward (Remote) - Merck (Hawaii)
Job Description
The goal of the Product Data Management program within our company's Manufacturing Division is to provide “ready to analyze” data from across a product’s manufacturing value chain, including data generated during a product’s process and analytical test method development through its commercial manufacturing and testing, including data related to raw materials, components, and conditions impacting these processes and methods.
This data may originate from internal our company's sources or from external vendors and contract organizations. Examples of data analytics enabled through this program include, but are not limited to, adhoc analytics, process robustness monitoring, multivariant analysis, and investigations.
Responsibilities:
+ Identifying and streamlining processes to contextualize manufacturing data across many cross-functional areas including those working on process and analytical development, quality, site and global technical operations, Information Technology (IT), and data analytics.
+ Prioritizing and overseeing portfolio of manufacturing data management projects ensuring alignment of activities and standards.
+ Learning about the complex data challenges across the value chain and helping to translate these into technical Project Data Management system requirements to enable value creation or to eliminate wasted efforts.
+ Advancing socialization of data management techniques and new technologies throughout organization.
The role will be accountable to:
+ Oversee the current process followed by the business to contextualize and connect diverse data sources, such as manufacturing data, laboratory data, supplier data, and raw material data.
+ Deliver on data-driven projects through organization of team efforts and hands-on approach
+ Actively listen, integrate input from diverse sources, and collaboratively translate manufacturing and business questions into data and analysis requirements
+ Partner with domain experts to verify and drive data management capabilities and translate into business language
+ Build external alliances to gain and share information and industry trends.
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
+ B.A. or B.S. degree in a Technical or Business field required with 4 or more years of experience.
Required Experience and Skills:
+ Experience in Good Practices (GxP) regulations required
+ 3 + years experience working in pharmaceutical / biotechnology / healthcare / health IT industry,
+ 2 + years experience supporting commercial manufacturing or laboratory facilities.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
+ Experience defining and implementing complex business processes and systems (e.g. six sigma or design thinking certifications)
+ Attention to detail and strong communication and collaboration skills.
+ Project management experience
+ Data model design expertise.
