Position Summary/ Objective:
Responsible for the well-being of staff, owners and guests while on property. Ensures the security of the resort by carrying out the policies, procedures and objectives of the Security Department.
Primary Essential Functions:
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversee Facility security to protect all company assets.
Manage and/or implement security protocols
Assists with training security staff.
Oversees daily workflow, schedules and assignments of security staff.
Resort Facilities & Grounds
Maintains a safe resort by patrolling the property and reporting any hazards.
Ensures the physical security of buildings by checking for unlocked or opened doors and windows.
Remain knowledgeable of emergency procedures, current projects, safety and security issues, reports damages or repairs as needed.
Resort Owners & Guests
Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety policies and procedures.
Responds promptly to customer needs.
Responds to requests for service and assistance.
Responds to a wide variety of calls for assistance including accidents, crimes, disturbances alarms and fires.
Coordinates staff response during emergencies until relieved by management.
Counsels parties in conflict.
Investigates incidents as reported.
Completes Incident Reports as required.
Responsible for writing detailed, truthful and unbiased daily reports to be distributed to upper management
Communicate professionally with owners, guests, supervisors and associates.
Provides information and assistance to owners and guests.
Work closely with the Front Desk to assist with Bell, Housekeeping & Maintenance to complete additional tasks after hours as needed.
Follow Lost and Found procedures.
Completes daily log and distributes as directed.
Maintain the proper appearance of uniform and nametag usage.
Performs other duties as requested by the Director of Facilities or General Manage
Education, Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, thorough, and professional. Consistently provides exemplary customer service to both guests, owners, supervisors and associates.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Valid State of Hawaii Security Officer Training and Certification
Valid CPR and First Aid certification
1 or more years of Security Officer experience
Skills Required
Ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency without compromising quality.

Physical, Environmental & Other Requirements:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing this job the associate must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours. Must also be able to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, & crawl. The associate must regularly lift and or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds. Must be tolerant to various conditions of noise level, temperature, and illumination. Requires eye/hand coordination. Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, job description, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions.
