Coordinator, QHS Policy Program - Clinical Education - Queen's Health Systems (Hawaii)
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Under the direction of the Manager, QHS Policy Program and guidance of Senior Executive Leadership, facilitates the development, deployment and consistent adoption of The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS) policy process.
• Serves as a liaison with key organizational stakeholders, providing guidance around the development of evidence based policies, procedures, and guidelines that facilitate desired outcomes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Facilitates standardization of approach, governance process and utilization of policy management system.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Continuous: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Frequent: walking.
• Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.
• Operates computer, calculator, telephone, fax and printer.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Three (3) years nursing experience, preferably in a comparable organization.
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels throughout the organization.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Prior policy management and/or quality improvement experience preferred.
