Ho`ōla Nā Pua and Rite of Passage have partnered to open Pearl Haven, the first gender-specific residential treatment program in Hawaii specifically designed to provide services to commercially sexually exploited girls. Our vision is to provide youth who have been victims of sexual exploitation with a path to restoration and healing from their trauma, an increased sense of self-worth, and the confidence and ability to successfully reintegrate into their families and community. Currently, we are looking to fill our key roles that will assist in the start-up and implementation of this program. We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals who are committed to providing the highest quality of service in support of the youth that we serve.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for Therapists at our new Pearl Haven program on the North Shore of Oahu. Therapists are responsible for overall delivery and implementation of each individual Client Treatment Plan, attending Child and Family Team meetings and treatment team meetings, and completing assessments, Client Treatment Plans and reports as required by the county and state.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

+ Provides individual, family and group therapy as indicated by program needs. Provides in-home therapy during transition.

+ Develops and oversees the completion of treatment on an individual, family and group basis.

+ Develops expertise in differential assessment, treatment readiness and change model, and motivational interviewing.

+ Documents and assesses the effectiveness of specific interventions toward meeting the objectives and goals of the program.

+ Maintains clients’ clinical files and documents all therapy and contacts with clients and other service providers.

+ Completes thorough trauma, safety and needs assessment.

+ Develops holistic and comprehensive individual and family treatment plans.

+ Provides crisis intervention as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Must be master’s level mental health professionals and maintain current BBS or Board of Psychology waiver, registration or licensure.

+ One year of prior experience working in a residential setting for children/NMD, their families and/or the Juvenile Justice/Child Welfare System.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Experience with attachment-focused, play, or expressive arts therapy.

+ Experience with trauma-informed treatment or evidence-based trauma therapy, such as: Trust-Based Relational Intervention; Attachment, Regulation, and Competency Framework; Child-Parent Relationship Therapy; Theraplay; Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Emotional Focused Therapy.
