Summary
About the Position: You will serve as a Security Guard assigned under the authority of the Senior Commander at IMCOM supported installations. The initial cut-off date for referral consideration is on Friday 27 Nov 2020. Applicants applying by the initial cut-off will receive first consideration. Responsibilities
Provide installation access control for pedestrians and vehicles utilizing standard operating procedures, written orders and regulatory requirement as a guide to access determination for a wide range of unique circumstances.
Conduct Random Inspection Team (RIT) or Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAM) vehicle searches/inspections (to include cargo areas, engine compartments and undercarriages),
Operate and performs research queries on the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) workstation terminals.
Maintains duty journal and prepares written reports of unusual situations and conditions encountered.
Operates two-way communications equipment to summon emergency vehicles and crews when assistance is needed.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience in two or more of the following areas: experience controlling access of vehicles, visitors and pedestrians into military installations; experience using automated systems to query and verify suitability for visitor entry into military installations; experience transcribing data using special codes IAW federal and state regulations (e.g. style codes, manufacturer's codes, wanted or missing persons, etc); and experience dealing with difficult customers who may be found ineligible for access. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
