Pharmacy Technician - Specialty Pharmacy - CVS Health (Hawaii)
Job Description
Under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician selects, prepares, packages, and ships medications and supplies to patients. The Pharmacy Technician also performs inventory and record keeping functions, in addition to various other ancillary duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Selects drugs from stock for preparation
-Counts, pours, or mixes pharmaceuticals; places pharmaceutical products in appropriate containers and affixes labels to containers
-Manages drug inventory for expired pharmaceuticals that must be returned to manufacturer and for drug recalls
-Manages replenishment of drug inventory to ensure adequate drug supplies
-Packages orders for shipment in accordance with CVS Health guidelines
-Ships orders via appropriate shipping method
-Conducts physical inventory and cycle counts
-Performs ancillary duties to support all fulfillment functions
-Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
-A Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a pharmacy
Preferred Qualifications
-PTCB Certification
-Successful completion of a pharmacy technician training program or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education
-Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required
