STORM Analyst, Senior
Key Role:
Work individually and collectively to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of military campaigns, concepts of operations, military system performance, and system concepts of employment. Provide analytic and decision support using modeling and simulation, statistical analysis, predictive analytics, gaming, machine learning, and deep learning. Develop and maintain databases and data warehouses. Design and develop data visualizations to summarize and explore large and complex datasets.
Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: military operations planning, military campaign analysis, or wargaming
-3+ years of experience with developing scenarios and performing campaign analysis using the Synthetic Theater Operations Research Model (STORM)
-Experience with developing custom triggers, rules, and outputs using the STORM CASA rule-language
-Experience with using a Linux operating system
-Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
-Knowledge of probability and stochastic processes
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree in Military Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or Military History
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in a military headquarters staff, including Service HQ, OSD, Joint Staff, or COCOM
-Experience with C++, VBA, R, Python, and SQL
-Experience with advanced statistical analysis techniques and machine learning
-Experience with designing games or wargames
-Ability to be creative and generate out-of-the-box solutions
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-MA or MS degree
