Leads a team in the performance of aircraft phase/PMI/CSS maintenance inspections and scheduled / unscheduled maintenance as discussed in section 4.0. (Technical / Performance Requirements). Processes the technical experience to supervise subordinate mechanics and provide technical guidance on maintenance operations on the airframe being supported. Capable of performing, supervising and inspecting the duties of Mechanic Is, IIs and IIIs. Ability to develop operating procedures for various duties. Ability to conduct internal audits and participate in external audits. This worker may be required to be licensed by Federal Aviation Administration. Candidates with prior rotary aircraft experience highly preferred. High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum ten (10) years desired, seven years (7) required of actual and recent aircraft maintenance experience. Must have completed military aviation maintenance training or aviation maintenance technical school curriculum or possess an FAA issued A&P license. Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory. Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks. Must be able to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
