Special Assets Sr. Relationship Manager - US Bank (Hawaii)
Responsible for managing a portfolio of large and complex problem commercial and industrial loans across an array of different industries. Independently analyzes loans and determines the most effective strategy to secure the repayment and/or collection of the debt. Negotiates with debtors or their representatives to secure repayment agreements and monitors adherence to the terms of repayment agreements. Oversees the risk management of ancillary products including Treasury Management, Foreign Exchange, Corporate Payment products, etc. An assigned portfolio may include large, Agented transactions. As a result, the Relationship Manager needs to be able to negotiate with and coordinate recommended strategies with the customer as well as a syndicate of other senior lenders, Financial Advisors, outside counsel, etc. Accountable for the timing completion of credit actions and problem credit reports. Maintains current knowledge of all laws, regulations, and rulings concerning commercial and industrial lending, insolvency, bankruptcy, etc.
**Qualifications:**
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or related experience
- 15 years of commercial and industrial lending and/or workout experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Advanced knowledge of commercial, and industrial lending, and credit policy/procedures
- Advanced knowledge of loan collections and documentation along with credit analysis
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiating and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with others - work closely with portfolio managers on all credit actions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong follow-up and execution skills
- Actively ensures compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act policies and procedures.
- MBA, CPA, CFA Charterholder a plus
- Expert knowledge of specialized lending collections
- Experience with syndicated and agented credits
